PhD course Informed Consent (Ethics)

Informed consent in social science research ensures that participants voluntarily decide to take part in research, based on a clear understanding of what their involvement entails. It protects both the consent-giver (participant) and consent-receiver (researcher) by ensuring that ethical, regulatory, and professional safeguards are in place. During this seminar you will learn more about the why, what, and how of informed consent in social scientific research.
