Working safely outside regular opening hours: this is changing
Working safely is our standard. Together, we must ensure a safe working environment for everyone in our faculty. During the day, AND also outside the regular opening hours of our buildings.
To minimise the risk of accidents and damage, the following safety measures apply to working outside regular opening hours from 31 March 2025:
-
You need permission from your supervisor to work outside regular opening hours. To get this, complete an online permission form (available soon). If you currently already have permission, it is valid until March 2026. After that, you apply for it again.
-
You attend a mandatory fire extinguisher training and an online safety training.
-
You have a buddy with you at hearing or sight distance.
-
You check in and out with a QR code if you work outside opening hours.
-
Work at the highest risk level only takes place during the day
We introduce these regulations because it is important to know who is in our buildings in case of emergencies. It is also important that everyone is adequately trained if an emergency occurs.
