Transformation and refurbishment of Dean’s office and Faculty Room
Dean Suzan Stoter has created a new space for the Dean’s office on the ground floor of the KOG. The former ICT Helpdesk has been transformed into a bright, spacious room with its own ‘couleur locale’. Applying the same concept, room B4.03 on the fourth floor has also been refurbished to become our Faculty Room – a special room for the whole faculty, to be used as a place for inspiration and conversations. Keywords for this room’s design are sustainability, recycling, upcycling and academic identity. Come and see it yourself during the Faculty Board’s walk-in session on 18 March.
Use and booking
The refurbished Faculty Room on the fourth floor of the KOG is a space for special events, brainstorm sessions, meetings with external guests, strategic meetings and lots more. The room is not to be used for regular work meetings, but as a space for creativity, contemplation and inspiration, for creating synergy between colleagues who want to take their ideas further. The room can accommodate up to 14 people and has a large video screen. If you’d like to use this room for one of the above purposes, please request a booking via bestuurssecretaris@law.leidenuniv.nl.
Walk-in session Faculty Board on 18 March from 10.00 – 11.00
You are warmly invited to come and check out the refurbished Faculty Room at the KOG on Tuesday 18 March between 10.00 and 11.00 in B4.03. You can hear how the concept for the room was developed and meet one of the designers. The members of the Faculty Board will also be present and they look forward to hearing your questions on other topics or any matters you’d like to discuss with them.
Faculty Room in the Academy Building
A faculty room? Don’t we already have that in the Academy Building? Yes, we do! Each faculty has its own room in the Academy Building. Our Faculty Room is spacious and can accommodate around 50 people depending on how it is set up. Last year, we unveiled an impressive timeline showing the highlights of Leiden Law School’s history created by Egbert Koops and his team. The Faculty Room at the Academy Building is an inspiring location for larger meetings and events. It can be used by our faculty staff, free of charge.
