Research
Take part as a researcher in a public activity during our anniversary year
Would you like to connect with the general public about your expertise and research? And how about helping to develop an appealing public activity? If that sounds good to you, now is your chance.
In the 2025 anniversary year, Leiden University is involved in a range of public events. For staff, the science communication team is organising two workshops to help you think up and design an interactive public activity. We’ll use a step-by-step plan for this, where you work in groups with scientists and communication colleagues to think about such topics as purpose, target groups, game formats, experiments, trials, materials, etc. Anything is possible.
The workshop is free and will be organised in The Hague and Leiden:
-
Thursday 10 April, Wijnhaven location, The Hague, 15.00-17.00
-
Thursday 17 April, Academy Building, Rapenburg Leiden, 15.00-17.00
Speaking Dutch is not required to participate, but it’s helpful to join forces with a Dutch-speaking colleague.

For inspiration
- On 3, 4 and 5 April we will be at the Impact Fair in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht with a varied programme.
