Facility
Understanding space usage at the faculty: study by Measuremen starting in February
To gain better insight into how the facilities in our buildings are used, a space occupancy survey will be conducted from Monday 3 February to Friday 14 February in the buildings (or parts of buildings) used by the faculty.*
What does the study involve?
The external company Measuremen will carry out measurements four times a day for two weeks. They will observe the number of people present in each workspace, meeting room, study area and lounge. This will help map how intensively the spaces are used compared to their capacity.
Some spaces cannot be observed from outside. To include these in the study, a Measuremen staff member will—only if the space is occupied—quickly and discreetly open the door to check occupancy.
Identification and approach
Measuremen observers can be identified by their orange badge and will conduct their work using a smartphone. Preparations, such as counting the number of workstations in offices, will begin on Friday 24 January.
