Hier is de Engelse versie met Britse spelling: Haven’t received the latest FWN newsletter? Check your spam folder!
Due to the transition to the new bulk mail application Maileon, it is possible that the latest Leiden Science staff newsletter (23 January 2025), as well as other mailings from Leiden University, may end up in your spam or junk mail folder. Additionally, images in the newsletter may not load automatically. This is because the newsletter originates from a different email domain, which email clients such as Hotmail and Gmail may not yet recognise as reliable.
It may take a few months for these email clients to understand that the newsletters and other bulk mailings are not spam, but intended messages. Therefore, please check your spam or junk mail folder if you haven’t seen the newsletter yet.
What can you do to receive the newsletter in your inbox?
- Check if the newsletter is in your spam or junk mail folder. Mark it as ‘not spam’ or drag it to your inbox.
- Open the email and load the images by clicking ‘Click here to download pictures’ at the top of the email. You can also set this to happen automatically by selecting ‘Change Automatic Download Settings’.
By following these steps, you not only ensure that you receive the newsletter in your inbox but also help accelerate the process by which email clients begin to recognise newsletters and other mailings from Leiden University as trustworthy.
