Dean’s office moving to ground floor KOG

21 January 2025

In full view of students and close to the entrance hall. That’s the new location for the Dean’s office. The room that used to be the ICT Help Desk (in the A0 corridor) has undergone a full-blown metamorphosis. No longer a closed space with a small corridor-facing counter, it's now an open office filled with light. The tall glass door panel is not just a symbol of transparency, the Dean will now literally be visible to all who pass by.

Suzan Stoter: ‘When the room became available, I thought it was a great opportunity to move my office to the ground floor. Located between the Juridisch Café and the lecture rooms; in the midst of the action! I hope that by working there, my office will become more visible and accessible. The meetings of the Faculty Board will also be held in this room from now on. So, if you pass by and I happen to be there, you’re welcome to come in. Of course, you can also make an appointment. Perhaps this new location will lower the threshold for you to do so.’

At the same time as making changes to the old ICT Help Desk room, room B4-03 on the fourth floor is also being redesigned. This room will be used as the new Faculty room. Both projects are being paid for from existing budget that had already been reserved for adjustments to meeting room B4-03. So we are actually getting two rooms for the price of one. The costs are being strictly monitored. No extra resources will be necessary to pay for the changes and both projects will be completed by the beginning of February. Further information and an invitation for the opening will follow soon.
