Salary payment December 2024
On Friday 20 December, you will be paid your salary for December 2024. From that day, your salary statement will be available in Self Service. Below you will find an explanation of the December salary statement.

Sample December salary statement
We have made a sample salary statement as an explanation of the different terms and figures. In the text below, the numbers in brackets correspond to the same numbers on the sample salary statement.
Furthermore, don’t forget to read the email you received on Tuesday, December 17 (subject: Salary payment December 2024) with an extra explanation of the payment of December.
Travel, homeworking or internet allowance
With the new mobility policy, you will receive the allowances for travel and home working days with your salary payment in the month after you have registered your days in Shuttel. It is important that you have also provided your travel with a classification (business, home-work, or private).
Please note: you will only receive one or more of the following payments in December if you have entered your travel and home working days in Shuttel by November 30t at the latest.

Home working allowance [1] | Allowance for home-working days, based on your registration of these days in Shuttel |
Internet allowance [2] | Allowance for your internet expenses (if you have registered your home-working days in Shuttel, you will automatically receive an internet allowance) |
Comm. costs own transport [3] | Allowance for commuting expenses with your own means of transport |
Comm. costs public transp | Allowance for commuting expenses registered in Shuttel with public transport (for example, commuting expenses claim from November 1st until receipt of the Shuttel card) |
Business trip declaration [4] | The claim for a business trip (domestic business trip) that was not made with the Shuttel card |
Own costs public transport
On your salary statement you can also find ‘Own costs public transpor’ [sic]. These include various costs and/or reimbursements. Such as costs that you have to pay yourself if, for example, you travel first class (you will have to pay for the difference between 1st and 2nd class). There are also reimbursements, for example, if you have deposited money on the Shuttel card, we will refund that money to you.

Individual Choices Model
If you have submitted an Individual Choices Model application, you will see it on your December salary statement [5+6]. How the offset of costs via the Individual Choices Model works is explained in the announcement on the staff website ‘Salary payment November 2024’.
End-of-Year Bonus
You received the end-of-year bonus with the salary payment of November. You can find more information about this payment in the announcement on the staff website ‘Salary payment November 2024’.
Annual Income Overview / Annual Tax Statement 2024
The total taxable income for 2024 (the basis for wage tax) is on your December salary statement [7]. This is the amount that will appear on your annual income overview as well. The annual income overview for 2024 is expected to be available in Self Service at the end of February/beginning of March 2025.
