Protest in Utrecht against higher education cuts cancelled for safety reasons
This afternoon, it was announced that the national demonstration against the cuts in higher education on 14 November in Utrecht will not take place. The mayor of Utrecht, Sharon Dijksma, has advised the organisation to cancel the protest for safety reasons. The organisation has decided to follow the mayor's advice.
The universities are currently consulting about an alternative way to express the great concerns that students, lecturers and staff have about the cuts.
