Trade unions have announced that a public transport strike will take place tomorrow morning, Wednesday 11 September, from 04.00 to 08.00. Although the impact of this for the remainder of the morning is not yet clear, it may have consequences for attendance at morning lectures, both for yourself and your students.

If you are scheduled to give a lecture (or other kind of teaching) on Wednesday morning, please keep an eye on the latest news about the strike. We ask you – if your teaching format is suitable for this – to provide your lecture in hybrid mode, for any students who cannot attend campus due to the strike, and to be lenient toward your students.

If you yourself will not be able to arrive in Leiden on time, please provide your lecture online, where possible, or schedule an alternative time in consultation with the education coordinator.

In all cases, we kindly request that you keep your students informed via Brightspace regarding any changes in your teaching.
