As every PhD student and (co)supervisor knows, a PhD project rarely follows exactly the Training and Supervision Plan (T&S plan) that is drawn up at the beginning of the project. Nevertheless, it is important during this ever changing process to be able to have some agreements to fall back on. In addition, it is nice if there is room to reflect on the decisions and agreements made in the T&S plan and to adjust them along the way if necessary.

New Training & Supervision Plan template 

This is why the Research Committee has worked  on a new T & S Plan template, hoping to make it even easier for PhD students and their supervisors to keep updating their T&S plan later in the process. For example, when issues arise that deviate a lot from the T&S plan written at the start, but also when a PhD student is going to have his/her GROW meeting. These are all moments to check whether the T&S plan is still up to date and, if not, to adjust it and upload it again to LUCRIS/Converis. This way, PhD students and (co)promoters know where they stand  and what they agreed upon during the entire process and, more importantly, what to expect from each other.
