New Programme Director for bachelor's in Law and first-year legal programmes
We are delighted to announce that Dr Michael Klos, Assistant Professor at the Department of Jurisprudence, has been appointed as the new Programme Director for the bachelor's degree programme in Law and the first-year legal programmes. He will take up this position on 1 November 2024.
Michael will take over from Professor Bastiaan Rijpkema, who has fulfilled this role with great dedication over the past three years. The most significant milestone during this period was the development of the Kernvisie curriculum for our legal programmes. Bastiaan was appointed as the Academic Director at the Institute for the Interdisciplinary Study of the Law and took up this position on 1 September 2024. We are extremely grateful to Bastiaan for his tremendous efforts in relation to the Kernvisie.
As the new Programme Director, Michael will primarily focus on the continued development and implementation of the Kernvisie over the coming months. In this role, he will also guide the various Programme Coordinators. The organisation and coordination of the current degree programme remains in the hands of Dr Jessie Pool, the Adjunct Director of the bachelor's programme in Law.
We are certain that Michael, with his extensive knowledge and experience, will make a valuable contribution to the further development of our degree programmes. We wish him every success in his new role.
