Support for blended education all in one place
From 1 October, support for blended learning will be streamlined, making life easier for lecturers. Until now, they had to approach Psyblend for certain aspects of blended learning, while other issues were handled by SOLO. Starting in October, everything will be consolidated under a single entity: SOLO.
Pooling knowledge
By merging Psyblend and SOLO, a wealth of expertise will be brought together. The Faculty aims to foster stronger connections between departments, faculties, and central services through this integration. The expectation is that this change will offer clearer insights into lecturers’ needs at the faculty level, allowing for more tailored support. During the transition period (1 October to 31 December), a student assistant from Psyblend will help ensure continuity and maintain the quality of support.
Online and offline assistance
This consolidation also brings efficiency: lecturers will now only need to contact one department instead of two. With streamlined communication and a physical helpdesk fully staffed, both online and face-to-face support will be available to assist with all queries related to blended learning.
The end of Psyblend
As a result, Psyblend will cease to exist. Until 30 September, lecturers can still reach out to Psyblend, but from 1 October onwards, all questions about blended learning should be directed to SOLO. Any ongoing queries with Psyblend will be transferred to the new service.
