In a Virtual International Cooperation Project (VIS), Dutch and foreign students work together remotely on a project that links local issues to an international perspective.

If you are a lecturer or educationalist and you are interested in developing a VIS project, you can submit a grant application until 16 September 2024. If your project proposal is approved, the University will receive €15.000 from the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport to free up your schedule to give you time for developing the project.

How to apply

1. Get written permission from your institute/supervisor and the director of studies.
2. Fill in the application form. Please note that all questions must be answered in Dutch.
3. Send the form together with the written permission to Ivo Bles, Education Grant Officer at the International Relations Office, at edugrants@sea.leidenuniv.nl by Monday 16 September 2024.
4. Applications will be assessed in order of receipt. The sooner you apply, the greater your chance of being awarded the grant.
