The Meijers symposium on the theme of ‘Meijers' heritage: 70 years of recognition and inspiration’ is set to take place on Monday 24 June. This symposium will be marked by a very special event: Meijers' gown will return to Leiden! Cees Maris, Emeritus Professor of Philosophy of Law at the University of Amsterdam who had the pleasure of wearing the Leiden professor's gown for many years, will officially hand it over to our faculty. Professor Maris writes: ‘It’s now time for Meijers' gown to return to its place of origin and destination.’
