New elections student section Humanities Faculty Council
Unfortunately, one of the nominations for the student section of the Humanities Faculty Council has been overlooked and as a result, the party in question did not appear on the digital ballot paper. The election for the student section of the Humanities Faculty Council will therefore be held again at a later date.
The party in question petitioned the Appeals and Objections Committee, Election Chamber (CBB) and on 26 April 2024, the CBB granted a provision whereby the student party was added to the list of candidates. However, as the party was not able to participate in the election and students were not able to vote for the party, the elections for the student section of the Humanities Faculty Council will be held again.
This situation is of course very disappointing for all concerned. The regular elections have just been completed and the student parties have worked hard on their election campaigns. Students will also be obliged to cast their votes again. In consultation with the parties involved, the Central Voting Office will schedule a new date for the elections in the near future. Both voters and parties will be provided with further information in due course.
The results of the other elections were announced on Friday afternoon.
