For many people, retirement may seem like a long way off whereas for others it is getting closer all the time. Either way, it is important to understand the Dutch pension system and how your pension is accrued. If you receive a salary from Leiden University, you automatically accrue a pension with Algemeen Burgerlijk Pensioenfonds (ABP). So who better to tell you more about your pension, than the experts from ABP themselves?

This spring, ABP is holding two online sessions especially for international staff. Alongside general information about your pension, you’ll also learn about topics such as transferring your pension savings abroad and making extra contributions. And what will it mean for your pension if you leave the Netherlands again?
