Online drop-in sessions for new MA Digital Media & Society graduation programme
September 2025 will see the launch of a new graduation track as part of the MA Media Studies: the MA Digital Media & Society. This master track aims to train professionals capable of thinking critically and analytically about the social consequences of ever-increasing digitalisation, robotisation, automation and artificial intelligence. During the programme, students learn to reflect on and intervene in the relationship between digital media and social issues from a humanities perspective.
This new graduate programme will be organised in The Hague. The other majors of these programmes take place in Leiden, so this is formally a new location of the programme. Conducting a macro-efficiency test is mandatory in this case. As part of this, online walk-in consultations are organised to explain the plans for this master track to colleagues around the country. Programme directors of related programmes are invited to the online walk-in consultations on 15 January and 25 January 2024. Staff members of the Faculty of Humanities who are interested in attending one of these walk-in consultations are also cordially invited to do so.
