Classroom occupancy checks at KOG Building and Old Observatory

9 September 2024

From 9 September onwards, over a period of three weeks, we will be checking classroom occupancy on the ground floor of the Kamerlingh Onnes Building (KOG) and comparing it with the reservations in our system. We will also do this at the Old Observatory (Sterrewacht).

Along the B0 corridor in the KOG Building, we can carry out these checks by looking through the glass partitions between classrooms. However, along the other corridors – A0, A1 and C0 – and at the Old Observatory, a member of the Services Department (UFB) will need to briefly open the door to check whether the room is actually occupied.

The UFB completes this procedure every year to ensure optimum use of our classrooms and prevent last-minute booking requests being wrongly rejected.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation!
