Your dissertation as a dance: enter the ‘Dance your PhD’ competition
‘So what’s your dissertation about?’ As a PhD candidate or young researcher, you probably can’t answer this in words of one syllable. Isn’t it time for a more creative alternative? So take a quick stretch and explain your research through interpretative dance in ‘Dance your PhD’!
This is the 16th time that Science journal and the American Association for the Advancement of Science are holding this competition. Winners receive a cash prize and eternal ‘geek fame’ on the internet.
How to enter:
- Turn your PhD thesis into a dance.
- Post a video of your dance on YouTube.
- Send the link by 26 January 2024 through this web form.
The organisers will classify the entries into one of four categories: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Social Sciences. For the official rules see the Science website.
