Ludo Juurlink new director of Leiden Learning & Innovation Centre (LLInC)
Associate Professor of Physical Chemistry Ludo Juurlink has been appointed director of the Leiden Learning & Innovation Centre (LLInC) with effect from 1 September. He succeeds former director Michelle Olmstead.
Ludo has been a researcher at Leiden University since 2000. From 2008 to 2013 he was director of the Junior Science Lab, an outreach facility of the Faculty of Science. He has been Associate Professor of Physical Chemistry since 2019. As well as extensive research experience, Ludo also has a clear passion for teaching. He has been a Teaching Fellow of the Leiden Teachers’ Academy since 2017. Fellows actively engage in innovation in education, share their experiences and seek collaboration with other lecturers within and outside their own discipline. As a lecturer, Ludo already has several nominations and teaching awards to his name.
Rector Magnificus Hester Bijl is happy that Ludo has enthusiastically accepted this new role at LLInC. ‘As one of the first members of the Leiden Teachers Academy, Ludo is passionate about education, research and innovation.
