As a teacher, it is important to act correctly and efficiently in the event of an emergency. The step-by-step plan below will help.

Points of attention for teachers in case of an emergency:

1. Make sure you know the escape routes to the nearest emergency exits.
2. You will be alerted by the evacuation signal.
3. You indicate to those present the escape route to follow.
4. You check that no one has been left in the room, and then leave the building.
5. You follow the instructions of FAFS (recognisable by the brightly coloured jackets).

 

Points of attention for teachers in case of emergency medical aid:

 

1. You call the emergency number listed on the telephone (2200) In case of a serious accident, first call 112 and then 220o.
2. You tell the receptionist the nature of the accident and the location where the victim can be found.
3. You wait for the in-house emergency service staff, who will take the victim away for further treatment.
   If the severity of the accident is such that the victim cannot be moved out of the room, the lecture will be stopped and the students present will be escorted outside.
