Last week we received the sad news that our former colleague and former dean Prof. Alex Brenninkmeijer has passed away. We are deeply saddened by this loss.

Between 1996 and 2005, Alex Brenninkmeijer was professor of constitutional and administrative law and dean of our faculty. He was known among colleagues and students as an inspiring speaker.

We wish his family and friends all the strength they need at this difficult time.
