Join the Decolonising Knowledge PhD Workshop
The Decolonising Collective of Leiden University is happy to announce that it is hosting a 'Decolonising Knowledge PhD Workshop' for students at various stages of the PhD process, including Master students drafting PhD proposals. The event is taking place on Wednesday, 20th April 2022, 14:00 - 18:00 via Zoom.
The workshop aims to support Leiden University students in their decolonial praxis by providing a forum for them to raise critical questions, share ideas, and receive guidance from established practitioners of decolonising research methods and scholarly praxis. A few presenters will engage with a panel of 3-5 experts who have been using and/or teaching decolonial research methods and provide practical advice and meaningful critique. There will also be an audience consisting primarily of (prospective) PhD students and postdocs, who will have ample opportunity to engage in the interdisciplinary discussion about each project.
We welcome applications to present from individuals who are at any stage of the PhD process and from any disciplinary background. We also welcome registration to participate as an audience member from any of those who fit the categories mentioned above.
Deadline to apply as a presenter is 31st March 2022. All details on the event and registration can be found via this link: https://www.universiteitleiden.nl/en/decolonising-collective/events/phd-workshop-decolonising
