To help you make the impact or valorisation of your scientific research more clearly apparent, we have created a Leiden Impact Matrix.

Every member of staff at Leiden University is given a ULCN account. You can use this ULCN account to log in to your computer, the wifi network and various other ICT systems.

A partnership with a university or organisation outside of the Netherlands must be based on an agreement. In some cases, Leiden University will not have exchanged students or staff with this university before, and you will first need to create a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Leiden University has policies in place regarding travel restrictions for students and staff within the context of their studies, work or research. The basis of these restrictions are the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs travel advisories.

Didactics

As you are a new Leiden University staff member, a number of things must happen before we can draw up your contract and activate your ULCN account. This is also the case if you are affiliated with the university as external staff, for example if you were hired as a freelancer.

The ‘Engagement with Society’ ambition is closely linked to the ‘Employability Enhancement’ and ‘Skills’ ambitions. The JUL board consists of 4 volunteers. In addition, the board is represented within the various university units by an ambassador.

The information on your profile page is generated by different underlying systems. You can (request to) change or delete it. Please note that it may take some time before the adjustments are shown.

All persons making use of Leiden University buildings and grounds must comply with the general University house rules. These are listed in the Regulations on the Use of University Buildings, Grounds and Other Facilities, and are intended to guarantee order and safety for guests and staff alike.
